Those of us who have been following her career very close will realize that Alicia Machado has always wanted a baby. She considers being a mother a very important role.
Here in an interview with “People En Espanol”, Alicia expresses her happiness with being pregnant.

She is due in June and the baby will be born in Mexico where she currently lives.

She already has the baby names picked out. If it’s a girl she will name her Dinora. If it’s a boy, his name will be Daniel Sebastian.

In July 2007 she publicly announced her desire to become a mother. In an interview she stated her plans to become pregnant in the following year.

During her interview in the “Cristina Show” she announced that she will be having a baby girl.

She also spoke about the father of her child and she finally revealed his name. Rafael Hernandez, a 48 yr old business man. He already has 2 grown kids from a previous relationship. She states that although she has said his name she will never show him to the public or his kids. She wants to keep him out of the entertaining business.

She also stated that this was a planned pregnancy. She is deeply in love with her fiancé which she met in 2006 when they were introduced by a friend.

They are currently in a serious relationship and he has proposed marriage to her. She does not believe in marriage but she definitely believes in family.

She is extremely happy with her pregnancy and her relationship with her fiancé and family.

Alicia Machado celebrated her 35 birthday on December 6, with family.

She tweeted about her day which included running in the morning, which has been her exercise ritual.   She took a picture of a brand new car which she states it’s a dream gift.  Then she sent a picture of her birthday cake that her mom made for her which is an ariel cake.

There has been some controversy on how old Alicia is.  Alicia has confirmed that she is 35 today.  But there has been a misconception that she was really born in 1969 which would make her 43, you might see this a.  There is even confusion if she might be 36 instead of 35.

She did clarify her age once again in twitter confirming that she was born in 1977 which makes her 35.

This feud is still  ongoing because Yolanda Andrade stated that although Alicia Machado has apologize she does not care for it because she is not interested in a friendship with Alicia.

The feud between the two actresses took place on the set of “Una Familia con suerte” (A lucky family), dec. 23, 2011, which Alicia has had other feuds with other actresses like Alejandra Guzman and Daniela Castro. Although Yolanda Andrade is not working in this particular project but her sister Marile Andrade has a small role on the Novela.  Yolanda’s mother came to visit her sister on the set.  Alicia Machado and Marile share a dressing room and according to Marile, while her mother was in the dressing room, Alicia was extremely rude to her and kicked her out of the dressing room. The Apology
Alicia has apologized many times and stated that not only she was not feeling well that day, but had also had a long day of filming.  She claimed that the dressing room was extremely crowded and that she just needed some place to run over her lines.  That she spoke to the producers about her over crowded dressing room.  And that she did believe that Yolanda’s mother was an extra so she was just asking for less commotion.

Not Forgiven
Marile has accepted Alicia’s apology but her sister Yolanda Andrade has not and does not intend to.  Yolanda has stated that Alicia lacks education.  She also states that Alicia has had issues and feuds with almost everyone in the production.

Alicia Machado has announced that her New Year resolution is to go back to college.  On December 31, she tweeted about taking some document to an International University and on January 7th, she tweeted that she was preparing an essay that she needed to enroll in college.  She has yet to announce what her major will be.

Before winning the title of Miss Universe 1996, Alicia Machado was enrolled in a college and studied Business administration but soon transferred to Law.  She completed less than 2 years when she decided to pursue her dream of being an entertainer.

Alicia has a lot of future projects going on and along with being a single mom and a business woman it will be extremely interesting seeing how she juggles her life in order to accomplish all her goals.

Update:
Alicia Machado announced on her twitter account (on 1/09/13), that her scholarship to attend the college was approved.  She expressed her joy and her excitement.

GoogleMe!
Maripily on a different interview later replied to Alicia’s statement by simply saying; if you don’t know me then “googleme”. Maripily went on to say: who hasn’t heard of Maripily, everyone knows me!

Alicia a few weeks later when asked if she now knows who Maripily is by the show Sal y Pimienta she said “ I still don’t know who she is, I only use Google for important things”.

BFF
Then as the show, Mira quien Baila, started it seems like both of the ladies had bury their patch and decided to be friend. Which Alicia Machado gave us the impression that her and Maripliy were friends due to in a separate interview she stated, I did google her (Maripily) and know we are friends and she gave me these beautiful pants that Alicia was wearing at the time of the interview. Alicia kept on complementing the pants that Maripli has designed. She then said, no we have never fought, she claimed the host of the show (from Sal y Pimienta) was the one that invented the feud and it never happen.

Their friendship blossomed during Mira Quien Baila that even their kids were on the show dancing with each other.

A Broken Friendship:
In one of the taping of Mira Quien Baila while Alicia Machado was on an interview, Maripily was back stage dancing on top Of Pol with some extremely provocative dance moves. Poll is one of the dancers who have been rumored to be seeing Alicia Machado.

When Maripily was questioned about the dance moves she claimed that Pol (dancer) and Alicia are just friends and he is just a dancer. According to Maripily, Pol told her that Alicia and he were just friends and only had a professional relationship. But Alicia had already been insinuating that Pol Chamorro and she were much more than friends.



After the incident, Alicia gave another interview stating that she didn’t know who Maripliy was and how Maripily shouldn’t be upset at that statement because Maripily didn’t even know who Maribel Gaurdia was. Maribel Guardia was a guest judge on that week of Mira Quien Baila.

Maripiy then got extremely upset at Alicia and those comments and she went on to say how Alicia is always “tirando la pierda y esconde la mano” which means that she will say something and then hides from it.

That same eveining Maripily and Alicia had a confrontation but it’s really unclear what really occur. Maripily says that she basically set Alicia straight and told her to stop talking crap about her. But Alicia states that Maripliy was very violent and actually through a coffee cup on her.

Right after the confrontation Alicia was asked by the media what happened with Maripily and Alicia was very diplomatic and said she had no idea. She is so concentrated in the show that she doesn’t know what is going on outside of it. She remained with a smile on her face.

Alicia Machado spoked about quiting the show if Maripily didn’t back up. She stated that she was there to dance and that it was not a boxing ring.

After several weeks of tension Maripily ended up eliminated from Mira Quien Baila and they hugged it out.
Alicia remained on the show and ended up winning third place.

Omar Suares the creator of Perfume de Gardenia, is seriously considering casting both Cristián de la Fuentes y Alicia Machado in his next theater project.  It’s a comedy theater by the name of “Departamento De Solteros” (Singles Department).

The casting is not definite but Omar Suares would like these actors to play a couple.

Omar Suares is hoping to be able to bring this new Comedy Theater by the beginning of March 2013.  He believes that the public wants to see a comedy.

For some time now Alicia has been in talks in regards to creating this foundation which is specifically for single  moms.  Its main goal is to empower single working moms, by providing resources amongst other benefits.

Alicia classifieds a single mom as a mother that may or may not have a partner but is taking up the role of the single parent for their kids.  Alicia says that some moms may have a husband or a so called partner but are still left with all the responsibility that a single mom has.  The husband may not be working or even helping with any responsibilities when it comes to the kids or the home.  Alicia considers those women, single mom as well.



Alicia has been a single mom ever since her 4 year old daughter, Dinorah Valentina was born.  It has been a great transformation and growth for Alicia.  She says that her daughter has made sure she remains well grounded.

But like any other single mom, Alicia does encounter the issues with working and being a full time mom.  That is why this foundation means so much to Alicia. She has great hopes and plans for this foundation.

We only know him as Pol from Mira Quien Baila Univision. But Pol has given us a lot to talk about.

They have not admitted to be dating but they have been extremely affectionate with each other.
Alicia has been opened to having some nice feelings towards Pol and he has said some nice things about her. He did state that he definitely liker her as a woman and he is attracted to her. They have caressed each other’s legs and arms. Buy have yet to put a label on their relationship.

Alicia Machado and Maripily
Some of the controversy around this relationship is not only due to Pol’s age. He is 24 years old which makes him about 10 years younger than Alicia. But Pol was also caught in the middle of the very public feud that Alicia has with Maripily.

Backstage of the Mira Quien Baila show, Alicia was in the middle of giving a interview and most of her cast members were in the background together including Pol and Maripily. Pol was on the floor and Maripily was on top of him grinding him, to what she called dancing. It was brought up to Alicia’s attention but Alicia acted like it did not bother her at all.

When Maripily was later questioned about the dancing on top of Pol and how it was disrespectful to Alicia, given that Alicia has already showen that they have some sort of romance going on.  Maripily answered to that, “Alicia and Pol do not have anything going on” and that “Pol is just their dancer”. That created more feud against the already damaging relationship that Alicia had with Maripily.

But after the show ended Alicia took a picture of both her and Pol and tweeted it to her fans stating how much she will miss him.

Pol is one of the favorite’s dancers in Mira Quien Baila but initially he started in the Mira Quien Baila in Spain. He was liked so much that was the brought to the USA version. Pol has also been 5 times champion of ball room dancing in Spain and was discovered by Poty the chirographer on the Show Mira Quien Baila.

Alicia Machado is one of the Celebrity Contestant who has been impressing us every week with her dancing skills.  She has been a quick learner and every week the judges have been complimenting the passion that she has demonstrating.  You can see her determination and how she is going there every week giving her best, she is in it to win it.

Mira Quien Baila Univision is currently on its 3rd season but thanks to our Alicia, this season has been the most scandalous and has brought in more viewer and votes than any other season.

Its premier delivered over 3.6 million viewers! This year they also included a lot of the backstage scenes which has allowed the viewer to learn more about each of the participant.  Doing so, it has brought a lot more things to talk about besides the dancing.  This season has given us more scandal, romance and gossip than any other.  And in the middle of most of them is our Alicia.

Some of the Scandals have been the much publicized feud with Alicia and another contestant Maripily.  And the romance that Alicia has with one of the dancers which we simply know him as Paul.

It was a fairy tale relationship, the big time baseball player Bobby Abreu with the beauty queen Alicia Machado.  Bobby and Alicia were together for about 2 years and half and were engaged to be married.  Bobby is one of the few men that Alicia has admitted to date and have been opened to having a relationship with.  They seemed extremely happy and devoted to each other.

Was it a Fairytale?
Both successful in their careers.  Bobby is currently a baseball player for the L.A Dodgers and Alicia at that time was a successful Actress and singer.  But then the unthinkable happened. In 2005, Alicia was caught cheating with another celebrity.  Unfortunate it happened on a reality show called the Granja. According to the media, the cheating was caught on video and went viral over night.  Bobby found out about it and had no other choice but to end their relationship and engagement. The people closed to him said that Bobby was destroyed and so sad with the He truly loved her.
After the incident Bobby spoke out about it and said: He never thought that something like that would happen.  While with him she always behaved like a lady.  That his opinion is that perhaps Alicia needs to think before she does things. He also said that their relationship had ended prior to her going to Spain to participate in the show La Granja.

Did She Really Cheat?
Alicia gave an interview to Don Francisco Presenta.  In summary she said that there was a lot of alcohol during the show, she was there for 8 weeks.  There was lots of alcohol and very little food.  During the scene were she was filmed being intimate with another celebrity, she simply forgot that the cameras were there.  She also did say that Bobby and she had ended the relationship prior to her arriving at the reality show. But that she still had a lot of love for him.  And she does apologize if for hurting him.

They both went there separate ways and continued with their careers.  Alicia was involved in another serious relationship and had a baby.  She then parted ways with the father of her daughter.

Alicia Machado and Bobby Abreu Reconciliation?
Then… just when we thought it was over … in april 2010, Alicia comes out in an interview for TVNotas, stating that she and Bobby are back together again.  She stated that they had had a wonderful relationship in the past and that destiny has put them in each other’s lives again.

No Happy Ending!
A day after that interview Bobby Abreu came out denying that there were back together. He stated that he was not sure where this was coming from but that it was all not true.  He says that he is only concentrated in his career at the moment.
